Updates
This Data Protection and Privacy Policy were last updated on 4th January 2005.
What data do we collect about our candidates?
We obtain limited personal data about you when you submit your curriculum vitae. This personal data includes (but is not limited to) data such as your name, postal address, email address, telephone number, personal service company details, unique personal identifiers, together with current, past and future work experience, skills experience and future job preferences. We also obtain information about you when we take up references from past employers/clients. We may record and store notes of any telephone calls or other written correspondence you have with our staff within our candidate management database for record keeping and quality control purposes.
We need your help to ensure that the data we hold is as accurate and up-to-date as possible. To achieve this, we ask you to supply us with an up to date curriculum vitae regularly, and as a minimum at least every 6 months or after each new job or contract, whichever is the more frequent. We are reliant on you supplying us with a factually accurate and complete picture of you and your requirements.
How do we process our candidates' data?
Your personal data will be stored in our database. All your data is available to our staff via our candidate management database, who provide a matching and selection service for clients who wish us to undertake this function for them and provide them with a number of candidates to review. We will run searches to find the best matches between our clients' requirements and candidates on the database. Such searches use key data that you supplied to us, such as availability, location, skill experience level, professional experience and salary/fee requirements. Our system prioritises individuals according to the quality of the match with the recruiting organisation's requirements. The selection will also take into account any extra knowledge we have about our client's preferences.
Can our clients access our candidates' personal data?
We will not forward your details to our clients without discussing the client and the relevant opportunity with you first, and then obtaining your consent to us forwarding your details to them.
Your Legal Data Protection Right
You have the right to request a copy of the information held by us about you in our records in return for the payment of a small fee. You also have the right to correct any inaccuracies in the information.
