Application Support Analyst / Software Support Consultant required to join a major firm in Leicester. Initially working from home full time the hope is to return their office 2/3 days a week at some point next year. In this fast faced role you will work alongside Developers, Testers and Project Managers to support Windows based Applications in both a project and BAU environment. This position offers the opportunity to further your knowledge of SQL Server and learn how to implement and deploy solutions.
Candidates are expected to have previous Application or Software Support experience with a good understanding of SQL Server. The know how to write basic scripts and queries would be highly advantageous and you will be experienced working alongside developers and testers either in a software house or in-house IT Department. Web skills such as IIS and product knowledge of SharePoint or other MS products would be useful. Strong communication and problem solving skills are key as is the ability to multi-task in a fast paced IT environment.
