Three years ago, I helped a .NET Developer with MVC, C# and good SQL Server skills get a new job at a software house. He’s since gone on to learn (and master) .NET Core and cloud technologies like AWS, as well as develop a good understanding of the DevOps culture and environment. His eagerness to learn new things, challenge the norm and dedication to the cause has resulted in an increasingly positive working environment.
The same company is hiring another developer to join the team. They are soon to embrace containerisation, microservices and Azure, and investigate new JS frameworks/libraries.
Working in a team of 15, you will work on a SaaS platform that’s now being used on a global scale. The chance to learn new tech is pretty much endless and you can work from home 3 days a week, but if you want to work in the office more than 2 days a week then that’s fine – whatever gets the best out of you and provides the work/life balance that you need.
Salary is £45,000-50,000 plus team bonding trips during work hours, the aforementioned home-working, a Christmas do somewhere more exotic than a Harvester (they’ve opted for restaurants and bars in Paris and London in the past few years) and the limitless opportunities in terms of tech.
