Job Description

.NET Developer / Software Engineer

Key skills: Software Developer, Web Developer, .NET Developer, .NET, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, TDD, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, .NET Core, node.js, SQL Server / NoSQL

Software Engineer, Coder, Software Developer, .NET Developer, Programmer Extraordinaire, Worshipper of Tim Berners-Lee…call yourself what you want, but you just love writing good code of the .NET variety – .NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC, TDD (test-first approach). The company I represent is looking for someone that isn’t fussed about job titles (you can choose your own if you really want); they’d love someone to add ideas and values to an already wholesome team of people.

My client is currently engaged in developing and maintaining an ASP.Net MVC application, with a SQL Server back-end, but the plan is to move forward with .NET Core and node.js, although they’re already using these in current projects.  They are expanding the team with a view to evolve into a continuously deliverable, cloud-hosted solution, which will meet the demands of their client’s business into the 2020’s. So, this means you will get to work with cloud technologies such as AWS, Docker and Azure even if you haven’t had the opportunity to work with them.

Their mantra is that you select the best tool for the job, not use the tools available to bodge something together. Code the right way and with the right principles.

In addition to a £45,000-50,000 base salary, you will also be entitled to a 10% bonus, company pension, health insurance and flexible working hours. Also, they have modern offices in Central Milton Keynes (no beige or chipboard to be seen anywhere, sorry) that are within walking distance of shops, restaurants and cafes and within walking distance of the train station if you live in Northampton or down towards Hertfordshire (Watford, St. Albans, Hemel Hempstead etc.).

For more information, apply or call me on 01604 604080. This is a seriously cool job with a modern software development company.
