My client, a well-established manufacturing company in Luton are looking for a ‘second in command” IT Support Engineer to work alongside the Group IT Manager. This is a pretty standard internal IT Support role in which you will be known around the business as “the one to go to” when a technical issues arises and play a key role in building and maintaining the IT Infrastructure.
Supporting a Windows environment you will ideally have broad networking skills, (DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP) and an awareness of VMWare. As with many manufacturing firms an ERP system is at the heart of the business and therefore as part of your role you will supporting this. It’s preferable you are familiar with ERP systems whether that is bespoke or off the shelf products - Infor M3, Epicor, Dynamics NAV, SAP etc.
You will be joining a great team which understands the variety and complexity of supporting an internal business. They are happy to offer training on certain technologies and will look to reward you with a stable yet evolving technical role. Upon learning the systems you will join an on call rota for critical and business threatening issues.
