My well established client are looking for a Technical Support Engineer who can support and maintain internal and client networks. The position is network focused whilst still being involved with the support of Active Directory, Exchange and VMware. From a network point of view you must have experience fault finding, supporting and maintaining routers, Switches and firewalls. You must know and understand TCP/IP along with processes and technologies around network security and backups. Specific vendor knowledge is not too important but within this role you can be expected to regularly work on products from Cisco, HP, Fortinet and Juniper. It's highly likely you will be hold certifications in these areas such as a CCNA or JNCIA.
This is a key role within a knowledgeable and well supported team, you will be given the scope to grow and progress your career and add to your already solid networking skills. Along with high level support you will play a role in major projects and work alongside major clients who are worldly recognised brands.
Start and finish time can be flexible and the work week is 37.5 hours. Right now the team and company are all home based yet post Covid19 they plan to be back in the office at least a few days a week, you must therefore be commutable to Northampton.
