3rd Line Support Infrastructure Engineer (Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco) required to join a globally recognised brand at their office in Northampton. Working as part of an expanding IT Department you will be responsible for 3rd line support and high level project work as well as mentoring and guiding 1st and 2nd line analysts. Acting as an escalation point you will apply your solid problem solving and communication skills to build relationships with colleagues and third parties within this fast paced and exciting sector.
Ideally candidates will have demonstrable experience operating as a Senior Infrastructure or 3rd line Support Engineer and have the confidence to act as a final point of escalation on Networking, Server and Desktop related issues. You will also support in house and industry bespoke software and work closely with development, testing and architecture teams when delivering key projects. Relevant qualifications such as MCSE/ MCSA, CCNA / CCNP, ITIL and Prince 2 would he beneficial however the in depth technical experience is far more important for this role. Other areas of technical knowledge required includes disaster recovers, performance, capacity and availability monitoring, enterprise storage and Databases.
