Jobs: 1st line Support Engineer / Service Desk / Helpdesk
Skill: Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Windows, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Office 365
Service Desk Engineer required by major IT hardware company. You will be providing 1st line technical support to IT users. You will have proven experience supporting Windows, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory and ideally Office365. An understanding of networks and network communications TCP/IP, DNS & DHCP would be highly beneficial.
The role will involve installing, testing and supporting software and hardware systems to ensure that user requirements are met. You will liaise with users both at their desks and from a helpdesk so must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people.
You will have at least 1 year’s technical support / helpdesk experience and very solid knowledge of PC hardware and Microsoft operating systems together with strong networking skills including TCP/IP.
