Job Description

Technical Support Engineer required to join an established solution provider in Kettering. Working as part of a dedicated Application and Software support team you will be required to provide high level technical support along with offering technical assistance on software installations and application upgrades. You will have a broad technical knowledge (Active Directory, Office, Citrix) and ideally previous experience supporting either off the shelf of in-house developed applications.

With plenty of opportunities for growth, the role will see you working closely with development and test teams and therefore would be highly suitable for somebody with an interest in building applications and writing code. The positon requires a thirst for knowledge and the capability to become a product champion to the level that you can swiftly solve 1st and 2nd level queries, and in time have the capability to work alongside the software teams to investigate 3rd line issues.

Previous service or helpdesk experience is required along with a confident and calm approach to solving problems and supporting customers. The ability to write SQL Scripts or an awareness of an object orientated programming language would be advantageous.
